DescriptionGeorgia McDade offers insight to how to make paragraphs and essays better by avoiding some of the most common errors writers make. You’ll feel more comfortable with the mechanics of writing so you can relax and write what it is you have to say. Bring your questions and get an English teacher’s take!

Please note that this class is for adults working on creative writing projects, including fiction, nonfiction, poetry, and memoirs.

Georgia Stewart McDade, Ph.D., is a poet, author, and creative writing instructor. She taught English for more than 30 years at Tacoma Community College and has also taught at Seattle University and the University of Washington. She is a charter member of the African-American Writers’ Alliance.
Class NotesLibrary events and programs are free and everyone is welcome. Registration is not required for this writing class however seating will be on a first come, first seated basis. Doors to the event will open 30 minutes prior to the start of the class. We’ll try our best to make room for all interested writers, but students may be turned away if the room is filled to capacity. Due to fire code, we cannot exceed the maximum capacity for our rooms.

Please bring a pen/pencil and paper or fully-charged laptop to each class.
