DescriptionJoin Rebecca Ossa from Seattle City Light’s historic preservation program for a presentation on historic buildings preservation.    Have you wondered what exactly is a historic building?  Rebecca will discuss the process of saving or reusing a historic building and choosing an appropriate historic preservation treatment:  preservation, rehabilitation, restoration or reconstruction.   She will also cover other aspects of building preservation including the historic structures report and provide tips on applying for grants.

Rebecca joined Seattle City Light in 2011 and reviews City Light projects for compliance with Federal, State and local level preservation requirements.  She also provides preservation technical assistance and training.

Southwest Stories offers presentations on the history of West Seattle and the Duwamish Peninsula at the five branches in West Seattle.  Presented in partnership with the Southwest Seattle Historical Society.
