DescriptionIn her latest memoir, Arleen Williams explores motherhood, memory loss, and the cost of writing memoir. As she cares for a mother sinking into dementia, she learns to be a mother herself while mothering her own mother.

Arleen Williams is a Seattle novelist, memoirist, and co-author of a dozen short books in easy English for adults. She teaches English as a Second Language at South Seattle College and has worked with immigrants and refugees for over three decades.

This program is part of the Words, Writers & West Seattle author series which features writers connected to the Duwamish Peninsula. Programs are held monthly on the second Thursday evenings. Books will be available for purchase. Presented in partnership with the Southwest Seattle Historical Society.
