SummaryCreate a portrait out of items found in nature.
DescriptionDuring this hands-on workshop with a teaching artist from Silver Kite Community Arts, participants first go on a nature walk and then, using the objects they find (leaves, sticks, flowers, etc.) they create a self-portrait or a portrait of someone they admire. For ages 7 to 12.

This program is part of this year’s Summer of Learning program Make a Splash! Adventures with Water, which encourages reading and activities around science, technology, technology, arts and math. We are offering over 250 free youth programs throughout the city this summer. You can pick up a Summer Action Guide at any Library location.
NotesLibrary events and programs are free and everyone is welcome. Registration is not required.
