SummaryJoin the Seattle Public Library, History Link, and MOHAI in monthly conversations that stimulate meaningful dialogue about the ways the city's past has influenced the present.
DescriptionChief Seattle’s daughter Kikisoblu (c. 1820 – 1896), also known as Princess Angeline, was a frequent subject of photographs, including the now iconic image taken by Edward Curtis. This program seeks to understand the legacy of Kikisoblu, putting images of her in conversation with historic and personal stories of her life. Curtis’s photograph of Kikisoblu will be on display during the program, along with rarely seen material from MOHAI’s collections.
