DescriptionLearn about the development of the helicopter, the long quest for human flight, and how helicopters. Teaching artist Adam Collet will lead participants though the exploration of different types of helicopters and then you will build a simple one in the workshop. Depending on age and ability participants can build two different types of simple helicopter: auto-rotating (gravity powered) and human powered. For all ages.

This program is part of this year’s Summer of Learning program Splash! Adventures with Water, which encourages reading and activities around science, technology, technology, arts and math. We are offering over 250 free youth programs throughout the city this summer. You can pick up a Summer Action Guide at any Library location.
NotesLibrary events and programs are free and everyone is welcome. Registration is not required.
