SummaryJoin us for a talk on the buildings of renowned twentieth-century Seattle architect, Arthur Loveless.
DescriptionArthur Loveless (1873-1971) designed many well-known commercial and residential buildings in Seattle and the Puget Sound region. He moved to Seattle in 1907 and became known for his Tudor Revivalist style. In addition to the Loveless Building on Capitol Hill, he worked on many prominent residences still occupied today, in Laurelhurst, Windermere, Washington Park, Mt. Baker, Magnolia, Broadmoor and West Seattle.

Susan Shorett, Loveless’s great-great niece, will share her research into his career and the development of a complete list of his buildings. After the talk, the audience is invited to tour a nearby Loveless house owned by Curt and Paula Green.
