DescriptionThere are many local, state and federal government records which can be utilized to build a genealogy. Many records are hidden in collections stored in the archives. Lorenz Dunn's genealogical experience has included extensive research at many major repositories in the Pacific Norhtwest, Utah, Virginia, and Washington, D.C. Her experience includes over 8 years volunteering for the Historical records project at the Washington State Archives, Southwest Region in Olympia, WA.

This program is presented in collaboration with Seattle Reads: Homegoing, and is made possible by The Seattle Public Library Foundation and The Wallace Foundation, with additional support from media sponsors The Seattle Times and KUOW 94.9 Public Radio.
