DescriptionAn Evening of Poetry is a quarterly series for fresh voices in the local poetry scene.

Lydia/Lenny Swartz makes things out of poetry, images, performance, and found audio. Their chapbook, Land of Lists, was published by Floating Bridge Press; a finalist in the 2016 competition. Their deck of shufflepoems was published by Minor Arcana Press in 2014. They spent December 2015 as a Starry Night artist in residence in Truth or Consequences, NM.

Keith Moul’s poems and photos are published widely. Finishing Line Press released a chap called The Future as a Picnic Lunch in 2015. Aldrich Press published Naked Among Possibilities in 2016; Finishing Line Press has just released Investment in Idolatry. Coming later in 2017 from Aldrich Press is Not on Any Map, a collection of earlier poems.

afrose fatima ahmed is a hybrid Texan-Washingtonian who writes on city streets and at the tops of evergreens. she is a VONA alumna and a 2017 Jack Straw Writer. afrose is the author of four poetry chapbooks and is currently working on a full collection of poems entitled "blood gold and honey", which are a few of her favorite things, and takes the shape of a fictional tarot deck. afrose climbs in her spare time, in order to gain perspective.
