SummaryThe history of West Seattle, the Duwamish Peninsula, and the birthplace of Seattle comes alive in this series of monthly presentations with the Southwest Seattle Historical Society.
DescriptionDiscover strange stories of food that is so old, so unusual, or so meaningful that no one dares throw it away. Harriet Baskas is a Seattle-based freelance journalist who writes the "At the Airport" column for USATODAY.com and regularly contributes stories about travel, museums and popular culture to NBCNews.com, CNBC.com and other outlets. Harriet is able to join us courtesy of the Humanities WA Speakers Bureau. Come for this special presentation and maybe even get to learn something about our local "ancient foods"!
NotesLibrary events and programs are free and everyone is welcome. Registration is not required.
