SummaryJoin Claudia Castro Luna Seattle’s Civic Poet for a series of poetic explorations about your neighborhood. Come read, talk and write poetry inspired by your corner of the city.
DescriptionThe Neighborhood We Love: What is it about your neighborhood you most like? Is it a particular building? A tree? A kindly neighbor? The smell of lilacs in the spring? We will take a virtual walk around our respective blocks and think of the particular things that make it home. You can, also, come and continue writing about last week’s topic or bring a poem you love that you want to share with the rest of us.

These are low-key sessions. No previous poetry writing experience necessary. Poems are all around us, in tree branches, at the bus stop, I the supermarket checkout line. Everyone has a story to tell about the place they live in. Come and share yours! Tell us what you see, hear and feel as you go about your day.
Class NotesLibrary events and programs are free and everyone is welcome. Registration is not required.
